Savannah Waterways

Mass production and human expansion are a large part of our global modern societies. Through visual media, we continuously see aesthetically appealing landscape photography that portrays exotic and picturesque views of the earth. Do those images accurately portray these lands? What stories are being omitted in these aesthetic compositions? Focusing on my city of Savannah, GA, its history and environment are linked to its waterways. This work questions the way we observe our environments and consider the human impact on the land.
